Chapter 317 members and friends raised more than $1,100 for the Heritage Adventures children's park in Ypsilanti. The ride was Chapter 317's first charity activity, and it proved to be a rousing success! The weather could not have been any more beautiful, and the challenging 50-mile ride took us through some of the most beautiful farm and river country in western Wayne and eastern Washtenaw Counties. After the ride, we gathered at the park where the playground will be built, providing an opportunity for handicapped kids to play alongside their friends. We had some wonderful bar-b-que, picnic salads and cool drinks to go along with a spectacular prize giveaway, to wrap up the event.
